Description
The issue is related to a flaw in the Linux kernel's ext4 filesystem, specifically with the
jbd2 journal dirty metadata() function, which can cause an out-of-bounds write. This can be exploited by a local user to cause a denial of service and a system crash by mounting and operating on a specially crafted ext4 filesystem image.Recommendations
