CVE-2018-1160

CVSS v2.0

10

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Netatalk versions prior to 3.1.12
Description The issue is related to a lack of bounds checking on attacker-controlled data in the dsi opensess.c file, which can lead to an out of bounds write. This allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to potentially achieve arbitrary code execution.
Recommendations For versions prior to 3.1.12, update to version 3.1.12 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the dsi opensess.c functionality until a patch is applied.
