VideoLAN VLC media player version 3.0.4
Description
The issue is related to the CAF demuxer in the VideoLAN VLC media player. It may read memory from an uninitialized pointer when processing magic cookies in CAF files. Recommendations
For version 3.0.4, consider updating to a newer version that addresses this issue, as the current version may allow a denial of service and/or a potential infoleak due to the vulnerability in the CAF demuxer.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
