Description The issue is related to the opj t1 encode cblks function in the OpenJPEG library, which is used for encoding and decoding images. It is caused by an error that leads to an infinite loop. This can be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially crafted bmp file to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations For OpenJPEG version 2.3.0, update to a newer version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent potential denial of service attacks via crafted bmp files.
