Description
The issue is related to errors in access control in the implementation of the Microsoft Server Message Block (SMB) protocol in Windows operating systems. This allows an attacker to elevate their privileges using a specially crafted file. The vulnerability is due to the way the SMB Server handles these files.
Recommendations
For Windows 7 SP1, apply the recommended patch to fix the elevation of privilege vulnerability.
