Description
The issue is caused by a buffer overflow when processing command line parameters in the h5dump program for viewing hdf5 files. Exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service by inputting a specially crafted sequence of data into the command line.

At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
