Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Astra Linux (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to a memory leak in the virtio pci remove handler of the Astra Linux kernel (loadable module drivers/virtio/virtio pci.ko). The problem arises from the allocation of memory in the
vp dev variable within the virtio pci probe function in the file drivers/virtio/virtio pci common.c, which is not properly released in the virtio pci remove handler. Exploiting this issue could allow an attacker to cause a denial of service (memory leak) by repeatedly connecting and disconnecting a device emulating a Virtio PCI device.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
