Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Astra Linux (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to a memory deallocation error in the ems usb disconnect handler of the Astra Linux kernel. Specifically, in the
ems usb probe function within the drivers/net/can/usb/ems usb.c file, memory is allocated for the tx msg buffer field but is not properly released by the ems usb disconnect handler. This can lead to a denial of service (memory leak) when a CAN EMS device is repeatedly connected.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
