| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
CloudForms versions 5.8 through 5.9
Description
A flaw was found in CloudForms's v2v infrastructure mapping delete feature, allowing for a stored cross-site scripting attack due to improper sanitization of user input in the
Name field. The vulnerability is related to the lack of protection measures for the web page structure, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to perform a cross-site scripting attack.Recommendations
For CloudForms versions 5.8 and 5.9, consider disabling the v2v infrastructure mapping delete feature until a patch is available. Restrict access to the
Name field in the affected feature to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.XSS
