Description The issue is related to a stack buffer overflow. A remote authenticated attacker could potentially exploit this by sending a crafted HTTP request to "broadweb/system/opcImg.asp". The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to potentially execute arbitrary code using a specially crafted HTTP request.
Recommendations For Advantech WebAccess versions 8.3.2 and below, consider restricting access to the broadweb/system/opcImg.asp endpoint until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of the BwOpcBs.exe executable to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
