CVE-2018-16079

CVSS v2.0

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:N/I:C/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 69.0.3497.81
Description The issue is caused by a race condition between permission prompts and navigations in Prompts, allowing a remote attacker to spoof the contents of the Omnibox (URL bar) using a specially crafted HTML page. This can be achieved by exploiting errors in synchronization when using a shared resource.
Recommendations For versions prior to 69.0.3497.81, update to version 69.0.3497.81 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to untrusted HTML pages to minimize the risk of exploitation.
