CVE-2018-16080

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:C/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 69.0.3497.81
Description The issue is related to a missing check for popup window handling in Fullscreen mode on macOS, allowing a remote attacker to spoof the contents of the Omnibox (URL bar) via a crafted HTML page. This could enable an attacker to deceive users about the actual URL being visited.
Recommendations For versions prior to 69.0.3497.81, update to version 69.0.3497.81 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of Fullscreen mode when browsing untrusted websites to minimize the risk of exploitation.
