CVE-2018-17476

CVSS v2.0

5.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 70.0.3538.67
Description The issue is related to incorrect dialog placement in the Cast UI, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to obscure the full screen warning. This can be achieved via a crafted HTML page, allowing the attacker to hide the warning about transitioning to full-screen mode. The vulnerability exists due to insufficient input validation in the Cast component of Google Chrome.
Recommendations For versions prior to 70.0.3538.67, update to version 70.0.3538.67 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of full-screen mode in the Cast UI until the update is applied.
