Description
The issue exists due to insufficient input validation in the URL Formatter component of Google Chrome. This allows a remote attacker to perform domain spoofing via specially crafted domain names, potentially leading to the manipulation of the Omnibox (URL) component content. The vulnerability exploits incorrect handling of confusable characters, enabling attackers to use IDN homographs for spoofing.
Recommendations
For Google Chrome versions prior to 68.0.3440.75, update to version 68.0.3440.75 or later to resolve the issue.
