Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Google Chrome versions prior to 68.0.3440.75
Description
The issue is related to improper deserialization in the WebGL component of Google Chrome, which can be exploited by a remote attacker using a crafted HTML page. This can potentially lead to heap corruption. The vulnerability may allow an attacker to impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 68.0.3440.75, update to version 68.0.3440.75 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling WebGL functionality until a patch is available. Restrict access to potentially malicious HTML pages to minimize the risk of exploitation.
