CVE-2018-20191
CVSS v2.0
7.8
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
QEMU (affected versions not specified)
Description:
The issue is related to errors in pointer dereferencing in the uar read and uar write functions of the PVRDMA emulator's virtual network adapter in QEMU. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. The problem arises because QEMU does not implement a read operation, such as uar read, which by analogy to uar write, allows attackers to cause a denial of service through a NULL pointer dereference.
Recommendations:
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
