Description
A heap-based buffer overflow was found in the
ApplyFilter() function, which can be exploited by creating a specially crafted file, allowing a remote attacker to access confidential information. This issue is related to an out-of-bounds read in memory, posing a threat to data confidentiality and service availability.Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.0.1, update to version 1.0.1 or later to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
ApplyFilter() function until a patch is available.Fix
