Description
The issue is related to the deserialization of untrusted data in Adobe ColdFusion, which could lead to arbitrary code execution if successfully exploited. This vulnerability is associated with shortcomings in the deserialization mechanism, allowing a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Adobe ColdFusion versions Update 5 and earlier, update to a version later than Update 5.
For Adobe ColdFusion 11 versions Update 13 and earlier, update to a version later than Update 13.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the deserialization mechanism until a patch is available.
