CVE-2018-19396

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PHP versions 5.x through 7.1.24
Description The issue is related to a flaw in the deserialization mechanism of the PHP interpreter, specifically in the ext/standard/var unserializer.c component. This flaw can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service (application crash) through an unserialize call for the com, dotnet, or variant class.
Recommendations For PHP versions 5.x through 7.1.24, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the unserialize function for the com, dotnet, or variant class until a patch is available.
