CVE-2011-2765

CVSS v3.1

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions pyro versions prior to 3.15
Description The issue arises from unsafe handling of pid files in temporary directory locations, allowing an attacker to potentially overwrite arbitrary files via symlinks when the pid file is opened as root.
Recommendations For versions prior to 3.15, consider restricting access to the temporary directory locations where pid files are handled to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid opening the pid file as root until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
