CVE-2014-1834

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions echor version 0.1.6
Description The issue allows local users to inject arbitrary code by adding a semi-colon in their username or password. This is due to a problem in the perform request function located in /lib/echor/backplane.rb in the echor Ruby Gem.
Recommendations For echor version 0.1.6, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the perform request function until a patch is available. Avoid using semi-colons in the username or password to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
