CVE-2014-7221

CVSS v2.0

4.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:N/I:N/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions TeamSpeak Client versions 3.0.14 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service, resulting in a buffer overflow and application crash. This can be achieved by connecting to a channel with a different client instance and placing crafted data in the Chat/Server tab, specifically containing [img]//http:// substrings.
Recommendations For TeamSpeak Client versions 3.0.14 and earlier, update to a version later than 3.0.14 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Chat/Server tab or avoiding the use of [img] tags with HTTP links until a patch is available.
