| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
iedriver versions prior to 3.0.0
Description
The issue allows for a man-in-the-middle (MITM) attack due to the insecure download of binary resources over HTTP. This could potentially lead to remote code execution (RCE) if an attacker intercepts the download and replaces the binary with a malicious one. This is particularly concerning in scenarios where an attacker has a privileged network position, enabling them to intercept and alter the response.
