Description:
The issue is caused by an out of bounds write in the CryptoHal::decrypt function due to improper input validation, resulting in a read from uninitialized memory. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is required for exploitation.
Recommendations:
For Android versions 8.0 and 8.1, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue to prevent local escalation of privilege.
