VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: MySQL Multi-Master Replication Manager (MMM) mmm agentd version 2.2.1
Description: A specially crafted MMM protocol message can cause a shell command injection in the execute function of the MMM::Agent::Helpers module, resulting in arbitrary command execution with the privileges of the mmm agentd process. An attacker who can initiate a TCP session with mmm agentd can trigger this issue.
Recommendations: For MySQL Multi-Master Replication Manager (MMM) mmm agentd version 2.2.1, consider restricting access to the execute function of the MMM::Agent::Helpers module until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the ability to initiate TCP sessions with mmm agentd to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
