CVE-2017-16193

CVSS v3.1

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: mfrs (affected versions not specified)
Description: The issue concerns a directory traversal problem, allowing an attacker to access the filesystem by manipulating the URL with "../". This can lead to the disclosure of private files on the system. A malicious actor can exploit this to access files outside the intended directory root. For example, an attacker can send a GET request to access sensitive files, such as /../../../../../../../../../../etc/passwd.
Recommendations: At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability. It is recommended that mfrs is only used for local development. If the functionality is needed for production, a different package should be used instead.
