Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Cisco Prime Network (affected versions not specified)
Description:
A vulnerability in the TCP throttling process could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. The issue is due to insufficient rate limiting protection for TCP listening ports. An attacker could exploit this by sending a high rate of TCP SYN packets to the local IP address of the targeted application. A successful exploit could cause the device to consume a high amount of memory and become slow, or to stop accepting new TCP connections to the application.
Recommendations:
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
