CVE-2018-10496

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Samsung Internet Browser versions prior to 6.4.0.15
Description: This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the handling of TypedArray objects due to the lack of validating the existence of an object prior to performing operations on it. An attacker can leverage this to execute code under the context of the current process.
Recommendations: For versions prior to 6.4.0.15, update to version 6.4.0.15 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of TypedArray objects in sensitive operations until a patch is applied. Restrict access to potentially malicious web pages or files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
