VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: OpenJPEG versions prior to 2.3.1 is not mentioned, however, OpenJPEG through 2.3.0
Description: The issue is related to out-of-bounds accesses in certain functions, specifically pi next lrcp, pi next rlcp, pi next rpcl, pi next pcrl, and pi next cprl, within the openmj2/pi.c file of OpenJPEG. This allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in an application crash.
Recommendations: For OpenJPEG through 2.3.0, consider updating to a version later than 2.3.0 to resolve the issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
