Description:
The issue is related to insufficient escaping in the Gem::CommandManager module of the RubyGems package management system. This allows a remote attacker to inject escape sequences, potentially disrupting data integrity by causing an error through various means.
Recommendations:
For versions 2.6 through 3.0.2, consider disabling the
Gem::CommandManager#run function until a patch is available to prevent escape sequence injection.
