Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Jenkins WildFly Deployer Plugin (affected versions not specified)
Description:
The issue concerns the storage of credentials in an unencrypted manner within job config.xml files on the Jenkins master or controller. These credentials can be accessed by users who have Extended Read permission or those with direct access to the master or controller file system.
Recommendations:
For the Jenkins WildFly Deployer Plugin, consider restricting access to the job config.xml files to minimize the risk of credential exposure.
As a temporary workaround, restrict users' Extended Read permission to limit who can view the credentials stored in the job config.xml files.
Avoid storing sensitive credentials in job config.xml files until a more secure method of storage is implemented.
Fix
Missing Encryption of Sensitive Data
