CVE-2019-10646

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Wolf CMS version 0.8.3.1
Description The issue allows an attacker to insert arbitrary JavaScript as user input in the "Add Snippet" module, which is accessible through the "/admin/snippet/add" API endpoint. This input will be executed whenever the affected snippet is loaded, potentially leading to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
Recommendations For Wolf CMS version 0.8.3.1, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the "Add Snippet" module until a patch is available. Restrict access to the "/admin/snippet/add" API endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using user input in the snippet module until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
