Description
The issue is related to errors in the code of the Partner Dash board component of Oracle Partner Management in the Oracle E-Business Suite system. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain access to modify, add, or delete data using the HTTP protocol. The vulnerability can be easily exploited and allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Partner Management. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products, resulting in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Partner Management accessible data, as well as unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of Oracle Partner Management accessible data.
Recommendations
For versions 12.1.1 through 12.1.3, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
For versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.8, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Partner Dash board component until a patch is available.
Restrict access to the HTTP protocol to minimize the risk of exploitation.
