Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Core component of Oracle VM VirtualBox. It can be exploited by a remote attacker using the SOAP protocol to cause a denial of service, resulting in a hang or crash of Oracle VM VirtualBox.
Recommendations For versions prior to 5.2.24, update to version 5.2.24 or later. For versions prior to 6.0.2, update to version 6.0.2 or later. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the SOAP protocol to minimize the risk of exploitation.
