Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle Solaris version 10
Description
The issue is related to a lack of access control in the DHCP Client component of Oracle Solaris, allowing an unauthenticated attacker with physical access to the communication segment to compromise Oracle Solaris. Successful exploitation can result in a takeover of Oracle Solaris.
Recommendations
For Oracle Solaris version 10, consider restricting access to the physical communication segment to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, limiting the use of the DHCP Client component may help until a more permanent solution is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
