Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle Managed File Transfer versions 12.2.1.3.0 and 19.1.0.0.0
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the MFT Runtime Server component of Oracle Managed File Transfer, allowing a low-privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the system. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized creation, deletion, or modification access to critical data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of accessible data.
Recommendations
For version 12.2.1.3.0, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
For version 19.1.0.0.0, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the MFT Runtime Server component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
