CVE-2019-2534

CVSS v3.1

7.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle MySQL Server versions 5.6.42 and prior Oracle MySQL Server versions 5.7.24 and prior Oracle MySQL Server versions 8.0.13 and prior
Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the MySQL Server component, specifically in the Server: Replication subcomponent. This can allow a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to the device. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized access to critical data, complete access to all MySQL Server accessible data, as well as unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of MySQL Server accessible data. The vulnerability can also cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of MySQL Server.
Recommendations For versions 5.6.42 and prior, update to a version later than 5.6.42 to resolve the issue. For versions 5.7.24 and prior, update to a version later than 5.7.24 to resolve the issue. For versions 8.0.13 and prior, update to a version later than 8.0.13 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting network access to the MySQL Server component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
