CVE-2019-2438

CVSS v3.1

6.9

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle Web Cache version 11.1.1.9.0
Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the ESI/Partial Page Caching component of Oracle Web Cache, allowing an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Web Cache. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products. This can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Web Cache accessible data, as well as unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of Oracle Web Cache accessible data.
Recommendations For Oracle Web Cache version 11.1.1.9.0, consider restricting access to the ESI/Partial Page Caching component until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
