Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools versions 8.55 through 8.57
Description
The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Portal component of Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools. Successful attacks require human interaction and can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of the data.
Recommendations
For versions 8.55 through 8.57, consider restricting access to the Portal component until a fix is available.
As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol for sensitive data transmission until the issue is resolved.
Avoid using the Portal component for critical operations that require high security until a patch is applied.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
