CVE-2019-2519

CVSS v2.0

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM eProcurement version 9.2
Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM eProcurement component, specifically in the Manage Requisition Status subcomponent. This easily exploitable issue allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM eProcurement. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products. The impact of successful attacks includes unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM eProcurement's accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM eProcurement's accessible data.
Recommendations For version 9.2, consider restricting access to the Manage Requisition Status subcomponent until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol for accessing PeopleSoft Enterprise SCM eProcurement to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, ensure that all users are aware of the potential for social engineering attacks that may be used in conjunction with this issue, as human interaction is required for a successful attack. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
