Description The vulnerability in the MySQL Server component of Oracle MySQL is related to inadequate access control. Exploitation of this issue can allow a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected data or cause a denial of service using network protocols. Successful attacks can result in the ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of MySQL Server.
Recommendations For MySQL Server versions 5.6.42 and prior, update to a version later than 5.6.42 to resolve the issue. For MySQL Server versions 5.7.24 and prior, update to a version later than 5.7.24 to resolve the issue.
