| Vector | AV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Microsoft browsers (affected versions not specified)
Description
A remote code execution issue exists in the way Microsoft browsers access objects in memory, potentially allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user. This could grant the attacker the same user rights as the current user, and if the user has administrative rights, the attacker could take control of the affected system. The attacker could then install programs, view, change, or delete data, or create new accounts with full user rights. An attacker could exploit this issue by hosting a specially crafted website or taking advantage of compromised websites, but would need to convince users to view the attacker-controlled content, typically via email or instant message enticements.
