Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions MySQL Server versions 5.6.42 and prior MySQL Server versions 5.7.24 and prior MySQL Server versions 8.0.13 and prior
Description A vulnerability in the MySQL Server component allows an attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise the security of MySQL Server. The vulnerability can be easily exploited and may result in the attacker being able to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete Denial of Service) of MySQL Server.
Recommendations For MySQL Server versions 5.6.42 and prior, update to a version later than 5.6.42 to resolve the issue. For MySQL Server versions 5.7.24 and prior, update to a version later than 5.7.24 to resolve the issue.
