Description The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Core component of Oracle VM VirtualBox, which can be exploited to cause the application to hang or crash. This can be achieved by a low-privileged attacker with logon access to the infrastructure where Oracle VM VirtualBox is executed. Successful exploitation can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of Oracle VM VirtualBox.
Recommendations For versions prior to 5.2.26, update to version 5.2.26 or later. For versions prior to 6.0.4, update to version 6.0.4 or later.
