Description The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Core component of Oracle VM VirtualBox, which can be exploited to gain unauthorized access to protected data. A low-privileged attacker with logon access to the infrastructure where Oracle VM VirtualBox is executed can compromise Oracle VM VirtualBox, potentially impacting additional products and resulting in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle VM VirtualBox accessible data.
Recommendations For versions prior to 5.2.24, update to version 5.2.24 or later. For versions prior to 6.0.2, update to version 6.0.2 or later.
