CVE-2019-2504

CVSS v3.1

3.8

Low

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Oracle VM VirtualBox versions prior to 5.2.24 Oracle VM VirtualBox versions prior to 6.0.2
Description The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Core component of Oracle VM VirtualBox, allowing an attacker to gain unauthorized read access to data. This can be exploited by a low-privileged attacker with logon access to the infrastructure where Oracle VM VirtualBox is executed, potentially impacting additional products. The exploitation can result in unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle VM VirtualBox accessible data.
Recommendations For versions prior to 5.2.24, update to version 5.2.24 or later. For versions prior to 6.0.2, update to version 6.0.2 or later. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Core component of Oracle VM VirtualBox to minimize the risk of exploitation.
