Description
A vulnerability exists in the Cisco Webex Network Recording Player and the Cisco Webex Player for Microsoft Windows, allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code on an affected system. The issue arises from improper validation of Advanced Recording Format (ARF) and Webex Recording Format (WRF) files. An attacker could exploit this by sending a malicious ARF or WRF file to a user via a link or email attachment, persuading them to open it with the affected software. Successful exploitation enables the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system. The vulnerability is also described as a buffer overflow issue in memory, which can be exploited by sending a specially crafted ARF or WRF file.
