CVE-2019-2421

CVSS v2.0

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM eProfile Manager Desktop version 9.2
Description The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Guided Self Service component of PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM eProfile Manager Desktop. It allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the system. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products. This can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of accessible data.
Recommendations For version 9.2, consider restricting access to the Guided Self Service component until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol for accessing PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM eProfile Manager Desktop to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
