Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Motorola router CX2L MWR04L version 1.01
Description
The issue is caused by a stack consumption problem due to infinite recursion in the scopd service. This occurs via TCP port 8010 and UDP port 8080, and is a result of the snprintf function and inappropriate length handling.
Recommendations
For version 1.01, consider restricting access to TCP port 8010 and UDP port 8080 to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, disabling the scopd service until a patch is available may also help mitigate the issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
