CVE-2019-13273
CVSS v3.1
9.8
Critical
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Xymon versions prior to 4.3.29
Description
A buffer overflow issue exists in the csvinfo CGI script. This can be exploited by sending a crafted GET request to the "/cgi-bin/csvinfo" API endpoint, which triggers an sprintf of the
srcdb parameter.Recommendations
For versions prior to 4.3.29, update to version 4.3.29 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the csvinfo CGI script to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the
srcdb parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.Fix
